Overview
On May 14, 2024 VFAHT-STMU Volunteers organized a Medical and Hepatitis B & C Screening Camp at Nurpur Shahan, Islamabad considering the fact that the residents of that area do not have access to nearby health facility and cannot afford proper medical treatments.
A total of 63 individuals were screened, identifying 2 positive cases: 1 with Hepatitis B and 1 with Hepatitis C. Following counseling sessions, both patients were referred to the Shifa Falahi Foundation for treatment.
The volunteers were also accompanied by an experienced team of consultant gynecologists and family medicine physicians. In addition to hepatitis screening, free health check-ups, free
medicines, free counselling were also provided at the camp.
