On June 28, 2024, VFAHT-DUHS and VFAHT-JSMU collaborated to host a Medical, Hepatitis Screening, and Vaccination Camp in Shah Mureed Village, Gadap Town, Karachi. The event brought together doctors and volunteers from both VFAHT Local Councils to offer primary medical care, hepatitis screening, and vaccinations to local residents and individuals from distant areas.
During the camp, numerous women were diagnosed with anemia and malnutrition, while many children were found to have scabies, highlighting prevalent health and hygiene issues. In total, 118 people were screened, 108 received vaccinations, and 260 received medical consultations.
Volunteers also educated attendees on disease prevention, particularly hepatitis, and provided counseling on basic health practices. This initiative not only addressed immediate medical needs but also aimed to improve long-term community health through education and awareness.
