On September 21, 2024, VFAHT-FMC, in collaboration with SYNCH-Fazaia, successfully organized a medical camp and hepatitis screening activity in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad. The event saw the active participation of 25-30 dedicated volunteers and faculty members from FMC.
A total of 26 individuals were screened for Hepatitis B and C. While no cases of Hepatitis B were detected, 3 individuals tested positive for Hepatitis C. These patients received thorough counseling from the team and were referred to PIMS for further treatment.
In addition to the screenings, the volunteers engaged with all attendees, educating them about hepatitis transmission, prevention, and the importance of early detection. This collaborative effort highlighted the shared commitment to promoting health awareness and delivering essential healthcare services to underserved communities.
