Overview

On October 31, 2024, VFAHT-SIMS, in collaboration with RAVISH NGO and the Labor Education Foundation, organized a Hepatitis B and C Screening Camp for brick kiln workers, their families, and nearby communities in Harbanspura, Lahore.

The camp provided free screening for Hepatitis B and C, aiming to facilitate early diagnosis and improve health outcomes. Volunteers conducted a door-to-door awareness campaign, educating households about disease transmission, prevention strategies, and the importance of immunization. On-site counseling was also provided to address concerns and guide those who tested positive toward appropriate care.

A total of 11 Hepatitis C positive cases were identified during the camp and were referred to Hepatitis Clinic Lahore for treatment. This collaborative effort successfully raised awareness, promoted early intervention, and contributed to the fight against Hepatitis B and C in underserved communities.
